Job summary

Johnson & Johnson MedTech’s Circulatory Restoration seeks a Director of Global Communications & Public Affairs in a hybrid Santa Clara role to lead an integrated global strategy, align leaders, and strengthen enterprise reputation.

You will oversee external and employee communications, partner with cross-functional teams, and guide executive communications, thought leadership, and stakeholder engagement to drive growth, innovation, and organizational transformation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 10+ years of experience in communications, public affairs, or related field.
• 5+ years of people leadership experience.
• Proven success developing and delivering integrated global communications strategies.
• Experience advising senior executives and leading executive communications, thought leadership, and stakeholder engagement programs.
• Expertise across employee engagement, organizational and change communications, media relations, digital and social media and reputation management.
• Outstanding communicator and storyteller with strong analytical judgment and ability to influence stakeholders.
• Proven people leader who develops high-performing teams and embraces digital, social, AI-enabled, and emerging communications technologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive global communications and public affairs strategy aligned to Circulatory Restoration priorities.
• Partner with leadership to drive understanding of strategy, performance, innovation, and transformation.
• Serve as trusted advisor to senior executives on strategic communications and stakeholder engagement.
• Ensure scalable communications across regions while maintaining message consistency.
• Establish measurement frameworks to assess effectiveness and optimize performance.
• Lead external communications to elevate visibility and reputation of Circulatory Restoration and its portfolio.
• Develop integrated campaigns and social media strategies supporting clinical evidence, market development, and corporate initiatives.
• Drive proactive media engagement, thought leadership, and executive visibility.
• Collaborate with Corporate Media Relations, Investor Relations, Government Affairs, Regulatory, Medical, Legal, and Commercial teams.
• Identify reputation risks and develop protective/enhancement strategies.
• Support issues preparedness and coordinated communications.
• Lead global employee communications and engagement strategy for Circulatory Restoration.
• Develop programs connecting employees to business priorities and culture.
• Create compelling content and experiences to strengthen culture and alignment.
• Support leadership announcements and transformations with effective change communications.
• Equip leaders with tools to improve alignment and understanding.
