Job summary

Roush in Livonia, MI is seeking a Commodity Manager II to drive cost-reduction initiatives and global sourcing for critical commodities. You will develop strategies, lead negotiations, and coordinate with stakeholders to optimize supplier performance and on-time launches.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship is required.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience managing the responsible commodities.
• Experience with cost modeling and cost drivers.
• Ability to read blueprints/drawings.
• Ability to manage complex commodities and increasing spend across multiple commodities.
• Demonstrated competence in negotiating skills and assessing suppliers.
• Demonstrated competence in developing & implementing commodity strategies.
• Possesses an understanding of industry quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead current production cost reduction and new program sourcing globally for the commodities.
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies to optimize supplier performance.
• Process purchase orders and ensure suppliers meet delivery dates.
• Lead negotiations and manage global supplier contracts.
• Communicate commodity strategies to the business globally.
• Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvements.
