Roush Enterprises in Livonia, MI is seeking a Commodity Manager II to lead strategic sourcing across multiple commodities. You will drive cost reduction, develop global supplier strategies, and coordinate with stakeholders to optimize total supplier performance including cost, quality, delivery and launch.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree, 3+ years managing commodities, cost modeling experience, and the ability to read blueprints.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business related or technical area.
• US Citizenship.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience managing the responsible commodities.
• Experience with cost modeling/cost drivers/cost structures.
• Ability to read blueprints/drawings.
• Ability to manage complex commodities and increasing spend across multiple commodities.
• Demonstrated competence.

Responsibilities

• Lead current production cost reduction and new program sourcing globally for the commodities.
• Work with stakeholders to optimize overall impact and trust of the Commodity Team.
• Process purchase orders and ensure suppliers meet delivery dates.
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies to optimize total supplier performance.
• Lead data collection, validation, analysis, and negotiation activities for commodities.
• Negotiate and manage global strategic supplier contracts.
• Manage relationships for strategic suppliers.
• Communicate commodity agreements and strategies globally.
• Provide progress updates to senior managers.
• Participate in supplier assessment and performance reviews; adjust strategies as needed.
