Job summary

Ontic is seeking a Global Commodity Specialist to drive strategic sourcing initiatives across core categories, partnering with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and site Supply Chain teams to deploy global commodity strategies.

You will lead end-to-end RFx processes, analyze markets, and manage supplier agreements, leveraging PPV, VA/VE, and should-cost methodologies to improve cost competitiveness and continuity while traveling up to 30% as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical capabilities with cost analysis, PPV, VA/VE, or should-cost analysis.
• Understanding of contract management principles, commercial terms, and supplier agreements.
• Knowledge of global supply markets and supply chain risk.
• Experience monitoring supplier performance across quality, delivery, cost, and service.
• Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle; Excel and BI tools required.
• Knowledge of Aerospace & Defense regulatory requirements, including ITAR/EAR, preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple sourcing projects and priorities; travel ~30%.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute strategic sourcing projects under the Global Commodity Senior Manager.
• Manage end-to-end RFx processes: supplier identification, market analysis, bid solicitation, evaluation, negotiation, and awards.
• Support global sourcing initiatives including supplier consolidation, resourcing, and license support.
• Identify and deliver cost-reduction opportunities through PPV, VA/VE, should-cost analysis, and negotiations.
• Develop, negotiate, and manage global supplier agreements and contract lifecycles.
• Coordinate pricing updates, amendments, and compliance tracking across sites.
• Provide market intelligence and commodity insights to stakeholders and leadership.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain on initiatives.
• Serve as interface between Global Sourcing and site stakeholders; deploy decisions across Ontic locations.
• Apply data analytics to supplier selection and risk identification.
