Job summary

Google Inc. is seeking a Global Commodity Manager to lead sourcing and supplier relations for board-mounted power modules within its AI and Infrastructure teams.

You will collaborate with Engineering to align supplier roadmaps, negotiate favorable terms, and drive cost optimization while ensuring supply assurance for critical hardware. You will oversee production scheduling, capacity planning, and risk reporting to executives, with a focus on scalability and reliability across multiple

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical or engineering field or equivalent practical experience.
• 7 years of experience in procurement and supply chain management.
• Experience in commodity management, global procurement, or sourcing for board-mounted power modules (e.g., POL converters, VRMs, IBCs, or PMICs), including contract negotiation and supplier development.

Responsibilities

• Lead sourcing strategy and collaborate with engineering on early engagement, aligning supplier roadmaps for VPD and IBC modules.
• Manage multiple suppliers and programs, negotiating complex agreements to achieve favorable pricing, terms, and scalable supply assurance.
• Direct cross-functional teams through supplier selection for new platforms, balancing innovation, speed-to-market, cost, quality, and delivery.
• Oversee critical supply chain operations—including production schedules, capacity planning, and operational flexibility—while reporting status and risks to executive leadership.
• Monitor supplier performance and mitigate continuity risks via regular business reviews, leveraging deep market intelligence to optimize procurement strategies.
