Job summary

Motive is seeking a Senior Manager, Accounting to lead global month-end and quarter-end close across multiple entities, ensuring US GAAP compliance and a SOX-controlled environment. You will oversee treasury, intercompany, leases, software capitalization, and balance sheet reconciliations while partnering with tax, FP&A, and engineering teams.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years in a manager or senior manager role.
• End-to-end month-end and quarter-end close across multiple entities in a SOX environment.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and internal control frameworks.
• Experience with NetSuite and close management tools such as FloQast.
• Experience in SaaS or technology companies is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly and quarterly close across multiple entities, ensuring timely close and supported reconciliations.
• Lead end-to-end close in GL areas: cash/treasury, intercompany, software capitalization, leases, and related entries.
• Manage FloQast close checklist, assign tasks, and sign-off on closing activities.
• Review journal entries, accruals, and reclasses with proper documentation in NetSuite.
• Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and investigation of variances to resolution.
• Lead bank reconciliations and coordination with Tax and Treasury on cash transfers.
• Drive capitalization, lease accounting under ASC 842, and related entries.
• Own SOX controls across close activities; support audits and remediation.
• Drive process improvements and automation to scale close quality.
