Job summary

UCB is seeking a Lead Clinical Project Manager in Raleigh, NC to drive patient-centric studies across geographies and therapeutic areas. The role requires strong leadership of multinational Phase 3 programs, managing budgets, timelines, and CRO/Phase 1 Unit interfaces in a hybrid setup with 40% in-office presence.

You will mentor CPMs, coordinate with CROs, and ensure high-quality data, safety, and regulatory compliance while delivering study milestones and CSR outputs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 10 years in clinical development.
• Experience leading in-house and outsourced regional or global Phase 3 studies.
• Proven ability to manage complex multinational studies and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver all assigned UCB-sponsored trials in a matrix organization.
• Provide operational updates and ensure clear communication with teams and partners.
• Oversee sponsor-delivered activities with KPIs and ensure safety, data quality, and budget goals.
• Develop Site Engagement strategies to support study recruitment at sites.
• Act as the primary clinical operations contact for assigned studies.
• During start-up, define study scope and align with CRO/Phase 1 unit.
• Plan timelines to enable timely data access for safety monitoring and CSR.
• Manage study budgets and forecast accruals in UCB systems.
• Collaborate with CROs to define monitoring strategies and review plans.
• Support audits and ensure regulatory compliance (ICH GCP).
• Mentor CPMs and share best practices.
