Qualifications

• Advanced degree in a relevant field: MD or MD/PhD with clinical expertise.
• Subspecialty fellowship training in applicable therapeutic area preferred.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in discovery, translational and/or clinical research.
• Ability to communicate clearly in scientific and clinical settings.
• Experience with statistical design, analysis, and interpretation of clinical data.
• Knowledge of the drug development process and clinical plans.
• Strong leadership skills and teamwork ability.

Responsibilities

• Acts as the independent Medical Monitor for Phase 1–2 trials and key studies.
• Provides medical/scientific oversight to cross-functional teams.
• Maintains matrix management across internal and external networks.
• Partners with Clinical Scientists for site activation, safety governance and education.
• Assesses safety events with Worldwide Patient Safety and contributes to safety narratives.
• Contributes to Study Delivery Team and Development Team discussions.
• Influences protocol design and safety considerations with input on inclusion/exclusion criteria.
• Ensures GCP compliance and required training across trials.
