Job summary

EMD Serono in the United States seeks a Senior Medical Leader to steer global immunology clinical development programs, ensuring scientific rigor, patient-centricity, and alignment with asset strategy and regulatory expectations.

You will lead global development planning, oversee protocol development and lifecycle considerations, partner across Clinical Development, Regulatory, Safety, Biostatistics, Translational Medicine, Medical Affairs, and more, and mentor teams to deliver high‑quality

Qualifications

Medical Degree (MD/DO) required; board certification preferred.
10+ years in immunology or related autoimmune diseases with hands-on patient care experience.
5+ years medical leadership in pharma/biotech clinical development.
Proven experience leading global Phase 2/3 or registrational studies.
Strong experience with FDA/EMA regulatory interactions and GCP/ICH knowledge.

Responsibilities

Provide senior medical leadership across global immunology programs.
Lead global development planning, target product profiles, and evidence generation.
Collaborate across Clinical Development, Regulatory, Safety, Biostatistics, Translational Medicine, Medical Affairs, and other functions.
Mentor cross-functional teams and ensure high-quality execution with clear documentation.
