Job summary

ImmunityBio, Inc. in El Segundo, CA seeks a Senior Director of Global Clinical Finance, Budgeting & Outsourcing to lead the financial and commercial management of global clinical development. You will shape portfolio strategy, governance, and spend visibility, partnering with Clinical Development and enterprise leaders.

The role requires 12+ years in pharma/biotech operations, 7+ years in outsourcing leadership, and experience with Veeva/SAP/Ariba. Onsite work in Southern California is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in life sciences, business, finance, healthcare administration or related field.
• 12+ years in pharmaceutical/biotech CRO or related clinical‑development business operations.
• 7+ years leading global clinical outsourcing, budgeting, forecasting or contracting capabilities, including 5+ years of people leadership.
• Demonstrated experience supporting global Phase I–III development programs and advising senior leaders on portfolio financials, outsourcing strategy, supplier performance and material risk.
• Experience with MSAs, Work Orders/SOWs, Change Orders and CRO/vendor governance.
• Experience with clinical financial and payment systems, including Veeva capabilities supporting site budgeting and payments.

Responsibilities

• Define and lead the global clinical finance, budgeting, and outsourcing strategy, operating model and multi-year capability roadmap.
• Lead portfolio-level financial planning and oversight across clinical programs, including long-range forecasts and variance management.
• Provide executive leadership with forward-looking assessment of clinical spend, commitments, forecast risk and cost optimization opportunities.
• Establish global outsourcing and category strategies across CROs, investigative sites, laboratories and other service providers.
• Set contracting governance for MSAs, WO/SOWs and Change Orders, including negotiation guardrails and escalation pathways.
• Establish the enterprise supplier-governance framework with performance reviews and joint governance forums.
• Develop dashboards and data standards for portfolio financials, sourcing, contracting and site payments.
• Build and lead a high-performing global function with strong governance and compliance.
