Job summary

Textile Exchange is a global non-profit guiding the apparel and textile industry toward more sustainable practices. The Claims and Labeling Manager will oversee policies and procedures for credible claims and labels, collaborating with internal teams on stakeholder engagement and communications.

This role includes directing report performance, goals, coaching, and professional development. The position requires 5+ years in voluntary standards, strong English writing, and experience with Power BI

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with voluntary standards and/or verification programs.
• Strong understanding of credible sustainability claims and trademark use.
• Experience managing staff and driving performance.
• Proven ability to lead projects, meet deadlines, and deliver on work plans.
• Ability to work with diverse, global stakeholders and in a remote environment.
• Excellent written English, able to craft technical content clearly.
• Familiarity with analytics tools (Power BI) and CRM systems (Salesforce).
• Self-starter with high autonomy and proactive approach.
• Interest in Textile Exchange’s mission and goals.

Responsibilities

• Ensure credible application of claims and labeling requirements across Textile Exchange standards.
• Provide guidance and claims submission support to stakeholders with timely outcomes.
• Drive understanding and adoption of labeling requirements via training and education.
• Develop and revise standards system claims policies and documents.
• Coordinate with legal and internal experts on risks and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with other departments to support stakeholder use of Textile Exchange trademarks and credible claims.
• Manage inquiries from external stakeholders via the case management system.
