Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in Accounting/Business Administration/Legal Studies (MBA a plus).
• Minimum of 2 years insurance/claim handling experience.
• Strong analytical skills with heightened problem-solving ability.
• Intermediate/advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Detail oriented with ability to multitask, follow-up, and meet deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Knowledge of multi-state workers' compensation, auto, and general liability processes.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates accident/loss reports and compiles facts and data.
• Advises departments in investigations, interviews witnesses, collects documentation.
• Documents conversations and prepares summaries of medical and attorney reports.
• Manage carrier claims relationships and monitor litigated claims.
• Train staff on claims processing procedures and workers' compensation matters.
• Identify injury patterns and advise safety improvements to reduce injuries.
• Prepare claims reports, data mining, and root cause analysis.
• Track monthly trends on claim metrics and provide financial impact analyses.
