Job summary

James Search Group is partnering with a leading global P&C Insurance carrier to appoint a Chief Data Officer who will shape the enterprise data strategy, architecture and organization.

You will build a modern global data ecosystem spanning cloud and hybrid environments, establish governance, MDM and data quality programs, and lead a world-class data team across functions such as underwriting, claims and finance. This is a true executive leadership role.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive experience across enterprise data, analytics and technology.
• 5+ years of meaningful P&C Insurance experience essential.
• Experience at Chief Data Officer, Head of Data, SVP/VP Data or equivalent senior leadership.
• Proven history of building and scaling large data organizations.
• Deep cloud data platforms, architecture and large-scale data engineering knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the enterprise data strategy to support growth and compliance.
• Build and scale a modern global data platform across cloud and hybrid environments.
• Lead a world-class data organization spanning architecture, governance, operations and stewardship.
• Recruit, develop and retain high-performing global data teams across functions.
• Drive enterprise adoption of modern data architectures and data literacy.
