Job summary

James Search Group is partnering with a leading global P&C Insurance carrier to appoint a transformational Chief Data Officer to drive the enterprise data strategy and platform. The CDO will build a modern data ecosystem, lead a global team across architecture, governance and analytics, and partner with Underwriting, Actuarial, Claims, Finance and IT to deliver data-driven outcomes.

This executive will own budgets, vendor relationships, data literacy initiatives and the data governance program,

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive experience across enterprise data, analytics and technology.
• 5+ years of meaningful P&C Insurance experience essential.
• Experience at Chief Data Officer/Head of Data/SVP/VP Data level.
• Proven history of building and scaling large data organizations.
• Deep cloud data platform, architecture and large-scale data engineering knowledge.
• Strong executive presence and stakeholder influence at the highest levels.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the enterprise data strategy.
• Build and scale a modern global data platform across cloud and hybrid environments.
• Lead global teams across architecture, governance, engineering and operations.
• Drive governance, MDM, metadata and data quality programs.
• Partner with senior leaders across underwriting, actuarial, claims, finance and IT.
