Job summary

Phifer & Company seeks a global Chief Communications Officer to lead and elevate the Communications & Brand function for business and consumer AI globally. This executive reports to the CEO and oversees a 25–40 person team across North America, EMEA, APAC, and LATAM.

The role partners with the CMO and CBO to craft a unified, high-impact narrative that drives momentum, strengthens reputation, and positions the company as a category leader in responsible AI. Advanced degree preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to architect and operationalize a global communications infrastructure.
• Mastery in shaping CEO-level thought leadership and executive platforms.
• Expertise in complex issues management, crisis response, and regulatory communications across regions.
• Proven capability to lead integrated narrative development across Communications, Marketing, and Brand.
• Strong command of AI, emerging tech, and innovation storytelling for enterprise and consumer audiences.
• Ability to influence at board level and advise on reputation, risk, and global perception.
• Experience building and mentoring high-performance global teams with modern communications skills.
• Advanced degree preferred (MBA or similar).

Responsibilities

• Lead the global Communications & Brand function across corporate communications, product storytelling, executive communications, media relations, policy communications, internal communications, and regional leads.
• Partner with CMO and CBO to ensure unified messaging, brand consistency, and coordinated storytelling across channels.
• Develop and implement a global communications strategy to support rapid innovation and complex stakeholder environments.
• Drive executive visibility for the CEO and senior leadership through thought leadership and media engagement.
• Shape proactive global media strategy and build relationships with top outlets worldwide.
• Lead issues management and crisis communications with sound judgment during high-stakes moments.
• Strengthen internal communications to support alignment, culture, and clarity during growth.
• Build modern communications systems, processes, and measurement frameworks at scale.
• Advise the CEO, executive team, and board on reputation, risk, and global perception.
