Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or equivalent in Environmental Health and Safety, Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, Environmental Science, Product Stewardship, or a related discipline is required.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in product stewardship, chemistry, materials science, chemical compliance, environmental engineering, or a related field within a global regulated industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently solve complex problems, exercise sound judgment, prioritize, and deliver timely outcomes.
  • Excellent written, verbal, analytical, organizational, and presentation skills; translate technical and legal information into practical guidance.
  • Ability to influence and lead across functions, organizational levels, and global teams with integrity and customer focus.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the global subject‑matter expert for chemical compliance requirements including major regulations.
  • Monitor legislation and translate impacts into implementation strategies.
  • Develop policies, standards, governance, and mitigation plans for chemical compliance risks.
  • Partner cross‑functionally to embed requirements into product development and manufacturing.
  • Lead the Chemical Compliance Community of Practice and align stakeholders on positions and best practices.
  • Advance data strategies, data quality, and program reporting for compliance.
  • Lead governance reviews and support audits and assessments.
  • Represent DePuy Synthes in trade associations and support global advocacy.

Education
