Job summary

3M is seeking a Certification and Conformance Specialist to lead regulatory certification activities for Hearing and Protective Communications PPE. You will work in the Personal Safety Division on a global team to identify requirements, prepare documentation, partner with labs and authorities, and drive product commercialization with regulatory compliance input.

The role emphasizes collaboration across engineering, quality, manufacturing, and portfolio teams, with on-site work in Maplewood, MN

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start).
• Five (5) years of regulatory experience in a private, public, government or military environment.

Responsibilities

• Identify regulatory product certification requirements for hearing protection and protective communications products.
• Prepare, maintain and submit regulatory documentation for product certification schemes.
• Collaborate with test labs, notified bodies, and agencies to submit products for certification and arrange site audits.
• Provide regulatory input into new product projects and execute the regulatory plan for commercialization.
• Engage with regulatory authorities and execute post-market follow-up activities.
• Identify and execute operational efficiency projects.
• Perform routine regulatory tasks for new and existing products.
• Stay updated on changes to applicable standards and regulations/directives.
