Job summary

ExxonMobil is seeking a Global Category Manager to lead end‑to‑end category management, developing market insights and optimizing value across Craft services such as Civil Construction, Electrical Instrumentation, or Waste & Industrial Cleaning. This role is based in Spring, TX, reporting to the Global Craft Procurement Strategy Manager.

You will craft strategies, benchmark KPI performance, and mentor contract owners globally while collaborating with Affiliates and Business Operations to align

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering or other relevant field.
• Minimum of 7 years in contracting, strategic procurement or category management.
• Deep expertise in establishing and executing commercial strategies.
• Knowledge of category/commodity dynamics and market players.
• Strategic thinker with supplier engagement experience.
• Strong negotiation skills across terms, conditions and compensation models.
• Demonstrated leadership and effective written/verbal communication.
• Analytical thinking with sound judgement and stakeholder collaboration.
• Experience in Oil & Gas or Construction/Projects contexts.

Responsibilities

• Develop and own commercial category strategies to deliver value.
• Monitor market trends and translate insights into actionable strategies.
• Own category KPIs and benchmark performance.
• Apply analytics to improve commercial approaches and decision-making.
• Develop negotiation plans and support contract owners in negotiations.
• Coordinate with Affiliates on go-to-market strategies for Craft categories.
• Engage suppliers and internal stakeholders to align on category plans.
• Contribute to engineering and procurement networks and bid evaluations.
• Support standard templates, scopes of work and contract scopes.
