Job summary

Davis-Standard Company is seeking an experienced Strategic Sourcing & Category Management leader to develop and execute global sourcing strategies across metals, machined parts, and assemblies. You will drive supplier selection, negotiations, and cost reductions while partnering with Engineering and Operations to optimize products and costs.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years in strategic sourcing, strong contract skills, and a track record of measurable savings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, or related.
• Master’s degree preferred in Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing, category management, procurement, or supplier management.
• Experience with metals, machined parts, fabrication, assemblies, and high-volume parts.
• Strong contract and commercial negotiation experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute global sourcing and category strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Lead RFIs, RFQs, RFPs, and competitive bidding initiatives.
• Establish and maintain supplier relationships and manage performance.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Operations on value engineering and make-versus-buy decisions.
