Job summary

Bristol Myers Squibb is seeking a Director, Global Clinical Physician (Cardiovascular) in Cambridge Crossing, MA to lead diligence and clinical development strategy for cardiovascular assets. You will partner with BD, governance, and senior teams to shape trial design, risk assessment, and asset valuation.

The role requires an MD with cardiology/internal medicine background and 6–8 years in clinical or industry settings, with strong knowledge of GCP/ICH, data interpretation, and medical writing.

Qualifications

• MD required; board certification/eligibility in cardiology or internal medicine preferred.
• Six to eight years of clinical and/or industry experience preferred.
• MBA or business/finance coursework a plus, but not required.
• Advanced knowledge of GCP/ICH, drug development, study design, statistics, and clinical operations.
• Advanced medical writing skills and medical terminology for diligence memos and governance presentations.
• Advanced planning/project management across clinical programs and deal timelines.

Responsibilities

• Serve as clinical/medical contact in diligence conversations with target company contacts and BD leadership.
• Lead literature review and landscape assessment to support asset valuation and trial design benchmarking.
• Develop clinical development plans spanning early to late development and present to governance committees.
• Assess trial design elements (endpoints, enrollment, population) for assets and precedent trials.
• Prepare diligence materials including safety risk assessment for BD leadership.
• Collaborate with Biostatistics, Regulatory, Commercial, Medical Affairs, and Clinical Pharmacology.
