Job summary

Chobani is seeking a Principal Engineer, Capital Projects to lead complex capital initiatives across its manufacturing network. This role reports to the VP of Engineering and Project Management and requires hands-on leadership of cross-functional teams, external vendors, and compliance with safety and quality standards.

The ideal candidate has 15+ years in manufacturing/ process tech and a proven track record in strategic project execution, budgeting, and delivering on time and on budget in a

Qualifications

• 15+ years in Manufacturing and Process Technologies, preferably Food & Beverage
• 10 years developing engineering strategy to support manufacturing environments
• 7+ years managerial/leadership across engineering functions
• 7+ years of project management experience (timelines, budgets, risk)
• Bachelor’s or master’s in engineering
• PMP certification preferred
• Proficient with MS Project and CAD tools

Responsibilities

• Lead Capital Critical Planning initiatives and align with company goals
• Coordinate work between teams, subcontractors and clients
• Ensure work complies with contract and client requirements
• Identify risk equipment and plan preventive actions
• Collaborate with maintenance to implement solutions
• Assess impact on maintenance, EH&S and production
• Drive manufacturing process improvements with plant teams
• Recruit, develop and manage staff; set goals and provide guidance
• Set leadership example and promote positive relations
• Oversee budgeting and monitoring of project spend
• Ensure project performance and timely communication to management
