In this position...

The Global Business Planning Lead serves as a key business partner to the Interior Systems & Raw Materials leadership team, helping translate organizational priorities into coordinated action, measurable results, and continuous improvement across the global organization.

What You'll Do...
  • Support delivery of Ford+ and Supply Chain transformation priorities across Interior Systems & Raw Materials, with a focus on operational excellence, simplification, and collaboration.
  • Support the Global Business Manager with the organization’s operating rhythm, strategic planning, business reviews, executive communications, and cross-functional priorities.
  • Lead cross-functional projects and business initiatives from planning through execution, ensuring alignment on objectives, timelines, stakeholders, and deliverables
  • Coordinate strategic priorities and serve as a liaison among Purchasing leadership, the Supply Chain Strategy Office, Product Development, regional teams, and other key stakeholders.
  • Lead governance for business performance reviews, including sourcing, cost, supplier, quality, delivery, and operational objectives.
  • Monitor and report critical business risks, including supplier financial health, non-renewals, stop ships, contract expirations, commercial disputes, and other emerging issues.
  • Develop concise leadership reporting that highlights high-priority issues, mitigation actions, risks, opportunities, owners, and required escalations.
  • Drive process simplification by centralizing information, reducing redundant work, and maintaining SharePoint and other collaboration tools as reliable one-stop resources.
  • Champion special projects such as sustainability, supplier and buyer data management, warranty reporting, systems initiatives, and other organizational priorities.
  • Develop and maintain KPI reporting and executive summaries for sourcing, cost, supplier, and operational objectives; facilitate periodic reviews of risks, opportunities, and action plans.
  • Support Supply Chain policy and procedure deployment by improving awareness and adoption of required processes, templates, tools, and best practices.
  • Proactively identify barriers to business progress, recommend practical solutions, and help teams navigate systems and process issues.
  • Coordinate change management, communications, training deployment, benchmarking, and knowledge-sharing activities for new tools, processes, and initiatives.
  • Maintain organization charts, distribution lists, team contacts, and other core business-operating information.
  • Champion continuous improvement that eliminates non-value-added work, improves employee experience, and strengthens innovation, engagement, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Support supplier performance reviews and other cross-functional forums by coordinating stakeholders, schedules, materials, and action tracking.
You’ll have...
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field of study
  • 3-5+ years of relevant experience in Purchasing, Supply Chain, business operations, project management, or a related field.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and business operations tools, including SharePoint, PowerPoint, Excel, and Teams
Even better, you may have...
  • MBA preferred
  • Experience with enterprise business systems is a plus
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, global, and collaborative environment.
  • Strong organization, project management, planning, and follow-through, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to translate strategic direction into clear actions, governance, reporting, and consistent execution.
  • Strong emotional intelligence, relationship-building skills, and organizational awareness across global and cross-functional teams.
  • Resourceful, detail-oriented, and comfortable recommending solutions when information or direction is ambiguous.
  • Strategic and growth mindset with a willingness to challenge existing processes and champion change.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to simplify complex information for leadership and broader audiences.
  • Understanding of business operations, supply chain, procurement, sourcing, or related business processes.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and data-management capabilities.
