Job summary

Leading The Way seeks a Media Asset Manager to oversee the daily operations of our television production media systems. You will ensure editors have fast access to assets, maintain archives, and manage a shared production environment to support weekly national broadcasts across multiple platforms.

The role requires proficiency with Avid Interplay, CatDV, Telestream Vantage, and strong knowledge of LTO tape archiving. Collaboration with editors, managers, and leadership is essential.

Qualifications

• 5-15 years in media management or related role in professional media environment.
• Hands-on proficiency with Avid Interplay, Avid MC, Adobe Premiere, Da Vinci Resolve, CatDV or similar asset management system, and Telestream Vantage or similar workflow automation tools.
• Proven track record archiving large volumes of media to LTO tape (LTO8 preferred) within complex server/shared storage environments.
• Ability to enforce naming conventions, metadata standards, and folder structures across production workflows.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills with experience using project tracking tools.

Responsibilities

• Work primarily within Avid Interplay, CatDV, and server environment for daily media management.
• Archive hundreds of terabytes of footage to LTO tapes and monitor storage space.
• Ingest, allocate, restore, and deliver media assets to editors in a timely manner.
• Sync sequences and projects to team members to support active production workflows.
• Maintain a searchable index, folder structure, naming conventions, and metadata across storage and cloud environments.
• Troubleshoot content retrieval, archival, and system performance issues; keep shared media environment functional for 10–12 editors.
• Oversee media delivery to project archives and online ministry portals (YouTube, website, apps).
• Build and troubleshoot TV workflows in Telestream Vantage; explore new storage solutions including cloud and LTO tape.
• Produce weekly reports on active projects and maintain editor project lists.
• Collaborate with leadership on asset management strategy and storage budgeting.
