Tapestry, Inc. is seeking an experienced attorney to serve as a trusted legal advisor for the Coach and Kate Spade New York brands. You will manage trademark clearance, prosecution, and enforcement while partnering with cross-functional teams to safeguard brand equity worldwide.

This role requires a J.D., bar admission in NY/NJ, and 3–5 years in trademark-related work. The position offers a competitive package and opportunities to mentor IP interns.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school with admission to the New York or New Jersey Bar.
• Experience handling trademark clearance, prosecution, and enforcement matters in fast-paced environments.
• Ability to communicate legal risk to non-lawyers and collaborate with marketing, creative, and product teams.

Responsibilities

• Conduct clearance reviews for names, designs, artwork, prints, packaging, and campaign assets.
• Manage global trademark prosecution, including office action responses and renewals.
• Oversee day-to-day enforcement activities and coordinate with external counsel and investigators.
• Supervise IP interns and externs, assigning substantive work and providing feedback.
• Support regional legal teams and KPI reporting for IP matters.
