Job summary

Kate Spade New York, part of the Tapestry portfolio, is seeking a Director of Global Licensing to lead a 15+ licensed portfolio across eyewear, fragrance, watches, tech, and home categories. You will manage licensee relationships, drive strategy, contract negotiations, product development, and marketing approvals with internal and external partners.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in fashion and/or home industries; licensing experience required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Workfront and Adobe InDesign.
• People-management experience leading a small team.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Business planning and analytical abilities.
• Proficiency with legal documents and negotiations.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day communications with licensees and partners.
• Develop long-range plans for division by category.
• Analyze opportunities to grow the business across categories.
• Interface with international division to maximize opportunities.
• Support and help lead Japan local licensing team.
• Research and drive business development with licensees.
• Draft and negotiate contract terms with Legal.
• Ensure timely communication between licensees and management.
• Prepare business reviews, market recaps, and selling information.
• Collaborate with DTC teams on seasonal briefs and launches.
