Job summary

Sonar is seeking a Global Benefits Manager to own the design, administration, and continuous improvement of our benefits programs across all global hubs. You will ensure offerings are competitive, compliant, and reflect diverse regional needs while managing vendor relationships and driving process efficiency.

The role requires coordinating with Legal and regional HR teams, leading open enrollment, and analyzing cost trends to inform plan design and budget decisions.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience managing global employee benefits programs.
• Global scope across AMER, APAC, and EMEA.
• Strong knowledge of benefits compliance across US, UK, CH, DE, ES, Singapore, India, UAE, Japan, Australia.
• Experience negotiating with brokers and carriers.
• Detail-oriented with strong project management and deadline discipline.
• Experience using HRIS/benefits platforms and analyzing data.
• Clear and empathetic communication on benefits topics.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage benefits programs across all global hubs.
• Manage relationships with brokers, carriers, and vendors globally, negotiating renewals and evaluating offerings.
• Partner with Legal and regional HR teams to ensure compliance with local labor and tax regulations.
• Lead annual open enrollment and ongoing employee benefits education.
• Analyze benefits utilization and costs, providing leadership with design and budget recommendations.
• Manage leave-of-absence programs and ensure compliant administration across regions.
• Respond to employee questions and escalations related to benefits as a subject matter expert.
• Continuously benchmark offerings against market practice to support talent attraction and retention.
