Job summary

Scientific Research Corporation is seeking an experienced avionics technician to support engineering activities through troubleshooting, assembly, and maintenance of electronic systems and specialized avionics gear. The role includes evaluating components, software, and test equipment, and providing technical support to Air Force customers.

Responsibilities include aircraft installation, troubleshooting and testing; participation in flight tests and evaluations of new systems; and mentoring

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of aircraft avionics maintenance experience, JTWS equipment experience, or equivalent DoD SIGINT experience.
• Must be able to operate as a single maintainer at either CONUS or OCONUS locations to include hostile areas.

Responsibilities

• Performing a variety of technical functions in support of engineering activities such as troubleshooting, test, modification, assembly, and maintenance and repair of electronic systems and other specialized avionics equipment.
• Evaluating components, subsystems, test equipment, and software
• Providing technical support to Air Force customers on operations and maintenance of assigned communications/surveillance equipment
• Performing aircraft installation, troubleshooting, and testing of equipment
• Supporting aircraft flight test and engineering evaluations of new systems and system configurations
• Assisting in training junior level electronics technicians and Air Force personnel to perform general fabrication, assembly, test and evaluation, and documentation tasks
• Deploying worldwide with AFSOC personnel in support of exercise and contingency operations including hostile environments
