Job summary

United Airlines seeks a Senior Manager – International Security Operations to direct and grow aviation security programs worldwide from its Chicago base. You will lead teams, drive audits, and ensure compliance with U.S.

and international security requirements, including DHS/TSA and ICAO standards. The role requires strong leadership, strategic policy advocacy, and collaboration with regulators while managing SeMS and risk assessments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain one
• 5+ years implementing and executing aviation security policies in air carrier or equivalent
• 3+ years of experience leading teams
• Knowledge of TSA regulations, IATA standards, ICAO Annex 17
• Strong diplomacy and communication with regulators and leadership

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage global aviation security professionals across diverse locations
• Serve as SME for aviation security compliance and lead audits of operations
• Advocate policy changes to strengthen security with DHS and international bodies
• Manage United Security Management System (SeMS)
• Conduct security risk assessments of operations and policies
