Job summary

Responsibilities

• Develop specifications for new assembly equipment based on customer requirements.
• Perform design reviews with prospective equipment suppliers, compare quotations and make nomination recommendations
• Create MTM studies and optimize assembly flow
• Participate in APQP Team as Process Engineering representative.
• Review process for material-handling reduction, operator efficiency improvements, making recommendations, and implementing upon approval.
• Develop new production methods using engineering fundamentals. Develop and implement new production equipment to improve quality of product, improve efficiency and reduce scrap.
• Develop plant layout to improve process flow and minimize material handling.
• Formulate, update, and enter recipes into production control software.
• Conduct capacity studies.
• Develop Internal Quotations for new processes as needed.
• Completes other job related tasks as assigned
