Job summary

Terabase Energy in California is seeking an Assistant Controller to lead the accounting operations, ensure accuracy, compliance, and scalability across financial processes in a high-growth global business.

You will manage the accounting team, strengthen controls, and partner with FP&A, Operations, and cross-functional leaders to drive financial transparency and efficiency, with a focus on cost/manufacturing accounting and multi-entity consolidation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including cost or manufacturing accounting.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, multi-entity reporting, and ERP systems (NetSuite).
• Experience in international or multi-jurisdictional environments.
• Prior audit experience (public accounting or internal audits).
• Demonstrated leadership of accounting teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day accounting across entities and jurisdictions.
• Oversee general ledger integrity and month/quarter/year-close.
• Prepare consolidated financial statements and budgets.
• Lead external audits and liaise with auditors.
• Drive system improvements and automation in accounting.
• Partner with FP&A, Operations, and cross-functional teams.
