Job summary

Zoetis is seeking an Associate Director of Global Animal Behavior to lead the enterprise-wide behavioral science program. The role drives welfare initiatives, enrichment strategies, and data-driven approaches across sites and species.

You will mentor a small team and partner with veterinarians, researchers, and IACUCs to advance welfare standards and research quality on a global scale.

Qualifications

• DVM or VMD from an AVMA-accredited institution.
• Diplomate, American College of Veterinary Behaviorists (DACVB) or board eligibility.
• PhD in animal behavior, comparative psychology, or behavioral neuroscience will also be considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide scientific leadership and strategic direction enterprise-wide.
• Develop and maintain the framework for behavioral welfare assessment and enrichment.
• Lead a team of three behavior technicians and one behavior scientist.
• Advise on welfare policy development, training, and risk assessment.
• Translate behavioral data into actionable recommendations to improve welfare and research quality.
