Job summary

Ares Management Corporation in New York seeks a Vice President for the Global Allocations Team within the Corporate Strategy Group. You will design and oversee the firmwide investment allocation framework and work with legal, compliance and investment teams.

This role builds centralized allocation infrastructure and engages with senior leadership on governance, portfolio construction and capital deployment across Credit, Private Equity, Real Assets, and Secondaries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• 5–7+ years of relevant investing/portfolio experience.
• Strong familiarity with credit and alternative investment structures.
• Experience with alternative credit transactions (bank debt, CLOs, etc.).
• Strong analytical capabilities and ability to operate in a fast-paced investment environment.
• High attention to detail, strong communication skills, and ability to manage multiple workstreams.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Lead components of Ares Global Allocations initiative, developing governance, processes and systems.
• Oversee U.S. investment allocations across Credit, Private Equity, Real Assets and Secondaries.
• Advise senior stakeholders on allocation decisions and policy considerations.
• Conduct pre-trade allocation and compliance analysis, reviewing concentration limits and eligibility.
• Lead portfolio and allocation reviews, identifying risks and optimization opportunities.
• Collaborate with Deal Teams, Portfolio Management, Compliance, Legal and Operations.
