Job summary

V2X Inc is seeking a Maintenance Control/Crew Leader to manage small field teams in a military aviation environment. You will diagnose problems, estimate materials and manning, and guide less experienced staff while ensuring compliance with aircraft maintenance standards.

The role requires leadership and strong maintenance knowledge, with readiness to work within Maryland locations under DoD guidelines. A&P and related certifications strengthen candidacy.

Qualifications

• Must possess leadership and administrative skills to provide technical guidance.
• Knowledge of Safe working techniques and procedures.
• Ability to plan and schedule maintenance work requirements.
• Requires working technical knowledge of aircraft, machinery, facilities, and equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude to offer technical direction.
• Understand technical language terms in the field.
• Ability to interact effectively with personnel at all organizational levels.
• Ability to use a computer.
• Must have full knowledge of the COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2 series and the RDT&E community.
• Knowledge of military publications, drawings, blueprints, microfilm, diagrams, and schematics is mandatory.
• Knowledge of military and/or company forms required by work requirements.
• Working knowledge of safety rules, regulations, and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead a field team dispatched when there is a small number of team members.
• Administer up to five hours per week of company-related duties (time/attendance, reports).
• Determine scope of work by diagnosing the problem, estimating materials and manning.
• Crew leader's work is technically complex and challenging.
• Provide technical assistance and guidance to less skilled employees.
• Inspect the work of lesser-skilled employees when no Inspector is assigned.
• Lead a crew of ten or fewer employees; for >10 under a burden leadman.
• Comply with COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2 series applicable to aircraft maintenance.
• Maintain working knowledge of NAMP, NALCOMIS, and related manuals.
