Job summary

Vantage Data Centers Management Company LLC seeks an AI Cybersecurity Director to lead technical security, risk management, and governance for AI/ML/LLM systems across Vantage’s environments. Based in Denver, CO or Ashburn, VA with a hybrid policy (3 days on site, 2 days flexible).

The role focuses on enforcing AI security controls, data protection, incident response, and alignment with enterprise standards to deliver business value with minimal risk across OT, enterprise, and cloud environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity, security architecture, or risk engineering roles.
• Hands‑on experience securing data pipelines, APIs, cloud platforms, and analytics or ML‑enabled systems.
• Strong understanding of identity, access management, encryption, logging, and secure system design.

Responsibilities

• Establish enterprise governance for AI security across business units.
• Define and enforce security architecture standards for AI/ML/LLM platforms across environments.
• Provide security design oversight for AI systems, including data pipelines, hosting, and APIs.
• Define enterprise methodology for AI security assessment and incident response playbooks.
• Enforce controls preventing unauthorized model retraining or live production data use.
• Drive alignment with AI governance standards (ISO 42001) across teams.
• Oversee vendor reviews and security reviews for AI capabilities.
