Capital Group is seeking a legal professional to join its high-caliber Legal & Compliance team in New York. This role focuses on designing and operationalizing governance frameworks for AI initiatives across multiple jurisdictions. Ideal candidates will have a JD with active Bar membership, strong background in technology law and 3-4 years of experience. The position offers a competitive salary range from $220,768 to $375,306, plus bonuses and generous benefits including flexible work options.

Qualifications

• 3-4 years of experience in law focusing on technology transactions, data/privacy, or financial services regulatory counseling.
• Strong transactional foundation with experience negotiating IT vendor, SaaS, and AI provider contracts.
• Demonstrated success designing or operationalizing AI governance frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Design, iterate, and operationalize global AI policies and governance frameworks.
• Ensure multijurisdictional alignment with EU AI Act, GDPR, and emerging U.S. regulations.
• Provide clear, commercially oriented guidance to accelerate responsible innovation.
