Job Type: This is a full time, exempt position.
The Admissions Processor at William Woods University plays a critical role in supporting the enrollment process for the University’s Global Online programs. This position is responsible for the accurate processing of applications for undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral-level applicants, including the evaluation and determination of admissibility in accordance with institutional policies and guidelines.This role also provides front-line support by responding to inquiries via phone and the Global Online admissions email, ensuring a high level of customer service.
· Support front-line operations by assisting with call handling and managing inquiries received via the general Global Online admissions email account.
· Review, process, and enter application data with accuracy and attention to detail; ensure all required materials are received and applications are complete.
· Calculate grade point averages (GPAs) and assess applicants' eligibility for admission based on established university criteria. Conduct timely and thorough evaluations of targeted applications and supporting documentation.
· Record admission decisions and manage change-of-major requests submitted by applicants. Ensure timely processing of undergraduate applications and consistent entry of decisions within designated timeframes.
· Utilize a variety of software platforms for communication, data entry, and tracking of student records. Conduct both initial and final reviews of Global applications.
· Serve as a liaison between the Admissions Office and various stakeholders, including admissions counselors, the AVP of Online and Graduate Admissions, the Registrar’s Office, and academic departments. Provide guidance on admission-related issues and ensure adherence to university policies and procedures.
· Assist with special projects and provide cross-functional support to other departments within Enrollment Services during high-volume periods.
· Maintain ongoing communication with prospective students regarding the status of their applications, offering clear and timely updates to facilitate a positive admissions experience.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
· Knowledge of student information systems and online learning platforms.
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
· Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
· Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance in higher education, particularly related to online programs.
· Demonstrated commitment to student success and retention in an online learning environment.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree preferred
This is a full-time, exempt position requiring 40+ hours per week.Some evening and weekend work is also required.
