Job summary

GHJ represents a private, global entertainment company seeking a Global Accounting Manager. The role owns accounting, consolidation, and reporting across 30+ countries, strengthening the global finance function and modernizing reporting.

You will oversee the global close, intercompany accounting, and leadership of a Senior Accountant, with direct exposure to senior finance leadership, and you will drive AI-driven reporting initiatives across regions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 6+ years of progressive accounting, audit, consolidation, or financial reporting experience.
• Strong international consolidation and intercompany accounting experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead global monthly, quarterly, and annual close and consolidation activities.
• Own and resolve complex intercompany accounting and reconciliation issues across international entities.
• Review consolidated financial results and investigate significant variances and accounting issues.
• Provide guidance to regional finance teams on reporting, consolidation, accounting treatments, and close requirements.
• Support executive, Board, shareholder, lender, and management reporting.
• Oversee audit support, tax compliance, transfer pricing, and related global accounting activities.
• Lead implementation of new AI-driven financial reporting tools and other automation initiatives.
• Develop and improve global accounting policies, controls, and reporting processes.
• Manage and develop a Senior Accountant while providing leadership to global finance teams.

A private, global entertainment company is seeking a Global Accounting Manager to take ownership of key accounting, consolidation, and reporting activities across an organization operating in more than 30 countries. This is a high-impact opportunity for an accounting leader who wants to do more than maintain existing processes—you’ll help strengthen the global finance function, modernize reporting, and work directly with senior leadership.

The Global Accounting Manager will oversee global close and consolidation activities, lead complex intercompany accounting, and serve as a key resource to finance teams across Europe and Asia. The role manages a Senior Accountant and provides significant exposure to the CFO and other senior leaders.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead global monthly, quarterly, and annual close and consolidation activities
• Own and resolve complex intercompany accounting and reconciliation issues across international entities
• Review consolidated financial results and investigate significant variances and accounting issues
• Provide guidance to regional finance teams on reporting, consolidation, accounting treatments, and close requirements
• Support executive, Board, shareholder, lender, and management reporting
• Oversee audit support, tax compliance, transfer pricing, and related global accounting activities
• Lead implementation of new AI-driven financial reporting tools and other automation initiatives
• Develop and improve global accounting policies, controls, and reporting processes
• Manage and develop a Senior Accountant while providing leadership to global finance teams

The immediate priorities include resolving existing intercompany reconciliation issues, strengthening consolidation and financial reporting, and helping lead the implementation of new AI reporting technology.

Key Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 6+ years of progressive accounting, audit, consolidation, or financial reporting experience
• Strong international consolidation and intercompany accounting experience
• Experience working within a global or multinational organization
• Advanced Excel skills required; Power BI experience strongly preferred
• Strong interest in AI, automation, and modernizing financial reporting processes
• CPA or equivalent professional designation preferred
• Big 4 or large CPA firm experience preferred, but not required with strong global accounting experience
• Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills with the ability to work effectively across countries and time zones

Salary/Compensation: Up to $140,000 base + approximately 5% bonus opportunity
