Job summary

Flagship Pioneering seeks an Associate Director / Director of International Accounting & Government Compliance to own accounting, compliance, and financial close for its international subsidiaries. You will partner with Vistra to ensure accurate local and consolidated reporting while supporting international expansion.

You will oversee UK equity programs, manage audits, and coordinate with Legal, HR, and tax authorities across jurisdictions, ensuring strong internal controls and timely filings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including multi‑entity, multi‑jurisdiction accounting.
• Experience supporting international expansion and new entity setup.
• Experience managing outsourced service providers across multiple countries (e.g., Vistra).
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, with IFRS and local statutory GAAP awareness.
• Experience managing statutory financial audits and tax compliance across international entities.
• Experience with foreign currency accounting, consolidations, and intercompany transactions.
• Excellent cross‑functional collaboration and communication skills; ability to work with scientists and management.
• Highly organized and detail‑oriented, capable of handling multiple entity obligations across time zones.

Responsibilities

• Own accounting and administration for UK-based equity and compensation programs.
• Define governance oversight for international entities across the Flagship platform.
• Coordinate local statutory audits and tax return filings; monitor regulatory requirements.
