Cure Blindness Project is seeking a Senior Director, Global Accounting to lead our worldwide accounting function. The role ensures accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and responsible stewardship across country offices.

The candidate will drive policy development, supervise staff, and support grant accounting and donor reporting in a fast-paced nonprofit environment. This remote, full-time position reports to the CFO.

Qualifications

• Experience in nonprofit accounting and financial management.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and donor compliance.
• Ability to lead global accounting operations across countries.

Responsibilities

• Lead global accounting operations ensuring timely, accurate financial information.
• Develop policies and procedures to support compliance and controls.
• Coach and manage accounting staff and promote accountability.
• Support grant accounting and donor reporting with relevant teams.
• Oversee monthly close, consolidations, and financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with local tax, payroll, and reporting obligations.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Accounting / Finance

CPA certification

Master's degree in related field
