Job summary

Arvato is seeking a Director of Accounting for North America, reporting to the CFO. Lead all accounting functions, ensure integrity of records, and manage general ledger, month-end close, and financial reporting across multiple entities.

You will oversee payroll, indirect tax, audits, internal controls, and collaborate with Operations, Tax, Legal, HR, and Corporate Finance. CPA preferred; located in Valencia, CA or other US locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience with leadership responsibility.
• Experience with yearly close and audits.
• Expert knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting requirements.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
• CPA strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead accounting operations including general ledger and month-end close.
• Ensure IFRS compliance and internal accounting policies.
• Oversee payroll, indirect tax, and financial statements.
• Partner with Finance leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Maintain internal controls and audit readiness.
• Lead and develop the accounting team.
• Support system implementations and process improvements.
