Job summary

Arvato North America is seeking a Director of Accounting to lead all accounting functions, ensure accuracy of financial records, and report to the CFO. The role covers general ledger, close processes, payroll, tax, and internal controls while guiding a growing team.

You will partner with cross‑functional leaders to optimize processes, implement system enhancements, and ensure audit readiness in a multi‑entity environment across manufacturing, logistics, and services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience with leadership responsibility.
• Expert knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting requirements.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Experience working with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• CPA strongly preferred.
• Work location: Valencia, CA / Louisville, KY / Boston, MA / Miami, FL

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all accounting operations, including general ledger, month-end and year-end close, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
• Ensure IFRS compliance and internal controls.
• Oversee payroll and indirect tax.
• Oversee preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Partner with Finance leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Maintain and enhance internal controls, accounting policies, and SOPs to ensure audit readiness and compliance.
• Serve as the primary accounting contact for internal and external audits; coordinate audit requests and remediation of findings.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team, including performance management and succession planning.
• Support system implementations, process improvements, and automation initiatives to drive efficiency and accuracy.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Tax, Legal, HR, and Corporate Finance to support business initiatives.
• Oversee the preparation of P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statement.
• Any additional tasks to ensure an efficient, compliant, and goal-oriented work environment
