Job summary

Jet Aviation is seeking an experienced captain to lead operations aboard a Global 8000, ensuring safe, compliant, and high‑quality service for discerning clients. You will command flights, brief missions, and manage aircraft systems while representing the Jet Aviation brand.

You will travel extensively, handle varied schedules, and uphold rigorous safety standards, with a compensation package aligned to senior private aviation roles.

Qualifications

  • Must hold FAA Airline Transport Pilot Certificate (ATP) with current medical class.
  • Extensive fixed-wing flight time across multi-engine jets is required.
  • Ability to operate under varied schedules and worldwide travel.

Responsibilities

  • Command all assigned flights and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Plan, brief, and execute domestic and international missions with dynamic weather and ATC challenges.
  • Maintain expert knowledge of aircraft systems and monitor status during missions.
  • Perform ISC duties under TSA programs as applicable.
  • Lead safety briefings and report hazards promptly.
  • Manage trip documentation and post-flight paperwork per procedures.
  • Serve as a brand ambassador delivering exceptional onboard experience.

Job description

The Mission

Take the left seat and lead a high-performance crew in a world-class private aviation environment. You will own the safe, efficient operation of the Global 8000, adapt decisively to changing conditions, and uphold the highest standards of safety, service, and professionalism while representing the Jet Aviation brand.

What You’ll Do
  • Command all assigned flights, making critical decisions to ensure safety and full compliance with federal, local, and company regulations.
  • Plan, brief, and execute domestic and international missions; manage flight plans and adjust to weather, ATC, and operational changes for a seamless client experience.
  • Maintain expert knowledge of all aircraft systems and performance; monitor and manage aircraft status throughout each mission.
  • Perform TSA In-Flight Security Coordinator (ISC) duties under the Twelve-Five Standard Security Program or Private Charter Standard Security Program, as applicable.
  • Conduct required passenger safety briefings (or delegate to the SIC) and champion open safety communication; promptly report hazards and discrepancies.
  • Manage trip documentation, maintain aircraft manuals, and complete accurate post-flight paperwork per company procedures.
  • Serve as a polished brand ambassador, ensuring an exceptional onboard experience for high-profile clientele.
What You’ll Bring (Minimum Qualifications)
  • Certificates: FAA Airline Transport Pilot Certificate (ATP) — unrestricted or restricted — and current FAA First Class Medical.
  • Flight Time: 3,500 hours total fixed-wing; 1,500 hours Pilot-in-Command; 1,500 hours multi-engine; 500 hours turbo-jet; 500 hours turbine; 100 hours night; 75 hours simulated instrument.
  • Schedule & Travel: Ability to work a variable schedule and travel extensively worldwide without restrictions.
  • Education: High school diploma (or equivalent).
  • Driving: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Professionalism: Uncompromising commitment to safety, compliance, and client service.

  • Current and appropriate aircraft type rating with recent currency (Global series strongly preferred).
  • College degree.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
