Job summary

EJM in Windsor Locks, CT, seeks an experienced Captain to lead a six‑pilot Global 7500 team, delivering exceptional owner and passenger experiences on a world‑class platform. You’ll hold final authority for safe, compliant operations and oversee crew briefings, SOPs, and safety culture.

Based near BDL, you’ll manage preflight planning, maintenance coordination, and international considerations, ensuring top‑tier service and safety in all operations.

Qualifications

• FAA type rating in Global 7500 (preferred).
• Total time of at least 3,500 hours.
• PIC: 2,000 hours total, including 500 hours PIC Multi-Engine Land.
• Multi-Engine Land: 1,500 hours.
• Instrument: 300 hours.
• Jet time: 500 hours.
• Prior corporate/business aviation experience preferred.
• Residency within two hours of BDL; not commutable.

Responsibilities

• Exercise final authority for flight operations under Part 91.
• Own preflight planning: performance, weight-and-balance, fuel planning, alternates, international considerations.
• Verify maintenance status and oversee fueling and ground servicing.
• Confirm compliant crewing and lead crew briefings.
• Deliver professional passenger briefings and elevated service.
• Apply SOPs, CRM, and TEM in all operations.
• Coordinate security as Ground and In-Flight Security Coordinator.
• Investigate and report service deviations; partner with internal teams.
• Maintain recency and required training; report safety concerns via SMS.

Join a high-performing, six-pilot Global 7500 team at EJM, supported by two dedicated maintenance technicians and two cabin attendants. As Captain, you’ll hold final authority for safe, compliant, and efficient operations while delivering an exceptional owner and passenger experience on a world-class, long-range platform.

Note: This is not a commutable position. Well-qualified applicants live within a two-hour drive of BDL.

What You’ll Lead

• Exercise final authority for safe, compliant, and efficient flight operations under Part 91.
• Own preflight planning: performance, weight-and-balance, fuel planning, alternates, and international considerations.
• Verify maintenance status, record discrepancies, and oversee fueling, oil, oxygen, and all ground servicing.
• Confirm compliant crewing and trip assignments; lead crew briefings using the Threats, Plans & Considerations methodology.
• Deliver professional passenger briefings and elevated service, including support for special needs.
• Apply SOPs, CRM, and TEM in normal, abnormal, and emergency operations.
• Coordinate security as the Ground and In-Flight Security Coordinator; ensure regulatory and company compliance end to end.
• Investigate and report service deviations; partner closely with internal teams and cabin/maintenance crews.
• Maintain recency and required training; proactively report safety or non-compliance concerns via the company SMS.

What You’ll Bring

• Type rating: FAA type rating in the Global 7500 or another Global series aircraft (Global 7500 type highly preferred).
• Total time: 3,500 hours minimum.
• PIC: 2,000 hours total PIC, including 500 hours PIC Multi-Engine Land.
• Multi-Engine Land: 1,500 hours.
• Instrument: 300 hours.
• Jet time: 500 hours.
• Prior corporate/business aviation experience preferred.
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the role and thrive in a high-touch, owner-focused flight department.
• Residency: Must live within a two-hour radius of BDL; this is not a commutable position.

The account operates approximately 500 hours annually and flies internationally more than 60% of the time.
