Job summary

Amazon is hiring a Senior Category Manager for the Global Procurement Organization in New York City. You will own relationships with 3PL suppliers, lead multi-million dollar negotiations, and build data-driven business cases to drive decisions that shape fulfillment capacity and cost structure.

Successful candidates will have 5+ years in procurement, strong cross-functional collaboration, and advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

Own supplier relationships and commercial outcomes for 3PL contracts worth $200M+ in committed spend.
Lead sourcing events (RFI, RFQ, RFP) for site launches, renewals, extensions.
Negotiate multi-year, multi-million dollar agreements with senior stakeholders.
Build business cases (CARs) for executive approval with data-backed narratives.
Develop cost models and benchmarks comparing 3PL vs 1P operations.
Manage claims, KPI governance, and supplier disputes while maintaining partnerships.
Influence cross-functional stakeholders to deliver sourcing outcomes on tight timelines.
Drive continuous improvement in sourcing processes and contract structures.
Leverage data, automation, and AI tools for forecasting and decision-support.
