Job description

Glice is the leading supplier of synthetic skating rinks, which the company both sells and rents. Our products consist of dozens of components that need to be inventoried, packed, and shipped to customers across North America. We are seeking a Warehouse & Logistics Manager responsible for preparing shipments and ensuring their timely delivery to customers, as well as managing returns for rink rentals.

This role also involves obtaining competitive shipping quotes and collaborating with various suppliers, including our parent company in Europe, to maintain sufficient inventory levels to meet demand. The manager will work closely with our CEO and sales team to ensure smooth order processing that upholds our high professional standards. Collaboration with our warehouse team, who handle picking, packing, crating, and loading, is essential, and the manager should be prepared to assist with order preparation. Physical fitness is required.

The warehouse is located near the intersection of Havana and East 56th Avenue northeast of downtown Denver, between the Central Park and Montbello neighborhoods. The ideal candidate will reside within 30 minutes of the warehouse for ease of commuting.

Warehouse Tasks

• Maintain accurate inventory records by SKU, quantity, and location
• Monitor minimum stock levels and initiate reorders
• Keep the warehouse organized, clean, and safe
• Ensure product quality and condition
• Oversee picking and packing, ensuring secure packaging
• Address order issues promptly and effectively
• Meet with customers at the warehouse and set up demo rinks as needed

Logistics Tasks

• Track inbound and outbound orders, ensuring timely shipments
• Obtain shipping bids to optimize cost and delivery time
• Complete and send shipping documentation accurately
• Follow shipments to ensure proper delivery
• Manage insurance claims for damaged items
• Work with customers to ensure satisfaction
• Inspect inbound rentals for damage, missing parts, and cleanliness

Work Hours

• Typically 8 am to 4 pm in the warehouse, varies with activity
• Remote work possible if within 30 minutes of the warehouse
• Approximately 65% warehouse, 35% administrative tasks
• Own computer and internet required; laptop preferred
• This is a 1099 contractor position with monthly pay based on performance

Reporting

• Report directly to the Glice Inc. CEO
• Collaborate with the sales team on shipping arrangements
