About the Role & Program: The Systems Software Engineering team ensures that the Walt Disney Parks and Resorts permeate and create happiness within Modeling, Simulation & Training. This internship is a full-time, six-month commitment in the Glendale, CA area. The approximate dates of this internship are January 2027 – June 2027. Interns must be fully available for the duration of the internship.
As a Systems Software Engineering intern, you will have the unique opportunity to assist with a variety of projects within our software engineering department.
On any given day you might:
Experience with Object Oriented Programming, preferably C++ or C# Ability to troubleshoot and assess software errors and implement solutions Familiar with continuous integration tools like Gitlab Experience with controls hardware
It would be great if you have/are familiar with: Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint Excellent communication and leadership skills Ability to take ownership and drive projects to completion with minimal supervision Professional demeanor, focused, articulate and well organized
Currently enrolled as a Junior, Senior or Graduate student at an accredited college/university, earning a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering or related major. GPA of 3.0 or higher (no rounding)
Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship Be at least 18 years of age Possess unrestricted work authorization Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or Disney College Program
The pay rate for this role as an undergraduate in CA is $31.00 /hr. The pay rate for this role as a graduate student in CA is $36.00/hr.
