Job summary

PDM is seeking a field installation professional in the United States (Iowa, Carlisle) to install aluminum storefronts, curtainwalls, and related glazing systems. The role reports to the Field Installation Foreman and emphasizes safety, accuracy, and teamwork on site.

Responsibilities include reading assembly drawings, coordinating with crane operations, and ensuring timely completion while upholding PDM’s core values of safety, quality, and accountability.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• OSHA 10 hr certification.
• Ability to read installation drawings and follow assembly instructions.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Learn and follow safety policies and procedures.
• Connect rigging to hoist assemblies and unload components.
• Install aluminum storefront, curtainwall, and glazing systems.
• Operate grinders, saws, and drills; assemble components per drawings.
• Direct equipment operators and crane operators as needed.
• Measure and lay out work; ensure schedules are met.

Position Summary: Install Aluminum Storefront, Curtainwall, Misc. Glazing Systems

Areas of Accountability:

• Learn and understand company safety policies and procedures and enforce compliance
• Ensure equipment is safe and reliable in order to reduce equipment downtime and ensure schedules are met
• Demonstrate ambition to develop personal skills for further advancement
• Connect rigging to hoist assemblies in place
• Unload assemblies
• Operate tools such as grinders, saws and drills
• Install bolted connections
• Communicate with Foreman on daily tasks
• Measure and layout work
• Assemble components per assembly drawings
• Direct equipment operators including crane operators
• Operate telescoping forklift

Requirements

Knowledge & Skills: OSHA 10 hr. Certified structural welder. Ability to operate telescope forklifts

Education: HS diploma or equivalent

Experience: Ability to read installation assembly drawings. Have a valid driver’s license

Physical Requirements: Applicants must be able to walk and stand on feet for extended period of time, lift, push and pull up to 75 lbs., crawl on hands and knees, climb a ladder and be able to work for long hours
