Job summary

The Department of Ophthalmology at USF Health Eye Institute and Tampa General Hospital seeks a Glaucoma specialist at the Assistant Professor level to join our clinical care team and faculty. The position will provide comprehensive glaucoma care and supervise residents and fellows, with opportunities for bedside teaching and Grand Rounds.

• Medical degree from an accredited institution.
• Completion of an accredited Ophthalmology residency program.
• Must meet university criteria for faculty appointment to the rank of assistant professor, associate professor or professor.
• Unrestricted Florida medical license or eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient glaucoma and inpatient surgical care.

Job description

The Department of Ophthalmology is seeking a Glaucoma specialist (Assistant Professor) to join its clinical care team and faculty. This position will provide comprehensive specialty Glaucoma care at the USF Health Eye Institute and inpatient services at Tampa General Hospital. This position will also supervise residents and be involved with training Glaucoma fellows.

Provides outpatient Glaucoma and inpatient surgical care to patients at the USF Health Eye Institute and Tampa General Hospital.

Supervision and teaching of residents, fellows and medical students. Lectures or provides Grand Rounds on various specialty topics.

Provides TGH call coverage and performs other duties as assigned by Department Chair.

Medical degree from an accredited institution. Completion of an accredited Ophthalmology residency training program. Must meet university criteria for faculty appointment to the rank of assistant professor, associate or professor. Candidates must have or be eligible for an unrestricted Florida medical license. This candidate must obtain credentialing with USF Health and Tampa General Hospital.
