Job summary

The University of South Florida seeks a Glaucoma specialist (open rank) to join the Ophthalmology clinical team at the USF Health Eye Institute and to provide inpatient care at Tampa General Hospital. This appointment will also supervise residents and train glaucoma fellows.

This appointment requires an MD/DO, completion of an accredited ophthalmology residency, eligibility for a Florida medical license, and credentialing with USF Health and Tampa General Hospital.

Qualifications

  • Medical degree from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of an accredited Ophthalmology residency program.
  • Must meet university criteria for faculty appointment at the rank of assistant professor, associate, or professor.
  • Candidate must have or be eligible for an unrestricted Florida medical license.
  • Must obtain credentialing with USF Health and Tampa General Hospital.

Responsibilities

  • Supervision and teaching of residents, fellows and medical students; lectures or Grand Rounds on various specialty topics.
  • Provides TGH call coverage and performs other duties as assigned by Department Chair.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Department of Ophthalmology is seeking a Glaucoma specialist (Assistant Professor) to join its clinical care team and faculty. This position will provide comprehensive specialty Glaucoma care at the USF Health Eye Institute and inpatient services at Tampa General Hospital. This position will also supervise residents and be involved with training Glaucoma fellows.

MINIMUM
  • Medical degree from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of an accredited Ophthalmology residency training program.
  • Must meet university criteria for faculty appointment to the rank of assistant professor, associate or professor.
  • Candidates must have or be eligible for an unrestricted Florida medical license.
