The Department of Ophthalmology at University of South Florida seeks a Glaucoma specialist at the Assistant Professor level to join the clinical care team and faculty. This role combines patient care with teaching responsibilities and scholarly activity in a leading academic health system.

The position provides comprehensive glaucoma care at the USF Health Eye Institute and inpatient services at Tampa General Hospital, including supervision of residents and involvement with glaucoma fellow

Qualifications

  • Medical degree from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of an accredited Ophthalmology residency training program.
  • Must meet university criteria for faculty appointment to the rank of assistant professor, associate or professor.
  • Must have or be eligible for an unrestricted Florida medical license.
  • This candidate must obtain credentialing with USF Health and Tampa General Hospital.

  • Provides outpatient Glaucoma and inpatient surgical care to patients at the USF Health Eye Institute and Tampa General Hospital.
  • Supervision and teaching of residents, fellows and medical students. Lectures or provides Grand Rounds on various specialty topics.

Position Summary: The Department of Ophthalmology is seeking a Glaucoma specialist (Assistant Professor) to join its clinical care team and faculty. This position will provide comprehensive specialty Glaucoma care at the USF Health Eye Institute and inpatient services at Tampa General Hospital. It will also supervise residents and be involved with training Glaucoma fellows.
